This Refund Policy explains how Msgie ("we", "us", or "our") handles billing, cancellations, and refund requests for subscriptions to the Msgie WhatsApp Business Automation Platform.
By subscribing to any Msgie plan, you agree to this policy. Please read it carefully before purchasing.
The short version: Msgie offers a free trial so you can evaluate the platform before paying. Once a subscription payment is processed, it is non-refundable. You may cancel at any time and retain access until the end of your current billing period.
2. Free Trial
We offer a free trial period so you can explore all Msgie features before committing to a paid plan. The free trial is designed to give you a genuine opportunity to evaluate whether the platform meets your needs.
- No payment is required to start your free trial.
- Full platform features are available during the trial period.
- Your trial automatically ends at the close of the trial period. You will not be charged unless you actively choose to subscribe.
- If you choose to subscribe before the trial ends, your billing cycle starts from the date of payment.
Because we provide a free trial, we encourage all prospective customers to thoroughly evaluate the platform during this period. Our no-refund policy on paid subscriptions reflects the fact that you have had a meaningful opportunity to test the product before paying.
3. Subscription Plans
Msgie offers the following billing cycles:
- Monthly subscriptions: Billed every 30 days from the date of your first payment. Your plan renews automatically each month unless you cancel before the renewal date.
- Annual subscriptions: Billed once for the full year upfront, typically at a discounted rate compared to monthly billing. Your plan renews automatically after 12 months unless you cancel before the renewal date.
Payments are processed securely via Razorpay or Stripe. Msgie does not store your full card details. All transactions are subject to the payment processor's terms and applicable Indian tax regulations, including GST where applicable.
You will receive an email confirmation and invoice for every successful charge. Please retain these for your records.
4. No Refund Policy
All subscription payments are non-refundable. This applies to:
- Monthly subscription charges, including the first payment and all subsequent renewals.
- Annual subscription charges, whether for a new subscription or a renewal.
- Partial billing periods — we do not offer pro-rated refunds for unused days in a billing cycle.
- Situations where you have not used the platform or have used it only minimally during the billing period.
- Cases where you forgot to cancel before an automatic renewal.
We strongly recommend setting a reminder before your renewal date if you are unsure whether to continue. Your renewal date is always visible in your account dashboard under Settings → Billing.
This policy is consistent with industry-standard SaaS practices and is made possible by the free trial we provide upfront.
5. Billing Exceptions
While our general policy is no refunds, we will review and resolve the following billing errors in good faith:
- Duplicate charge: If you were charged more than once for the same billing period due to a payment processing error, we will refund the duplicate amount.
- Charge after cancellation: If you were charged after a confirmed cancellation, we will refund the incorrect charge.
- Incorrect plan amount: If you were charged an amount that does not match the plan pricing displayed at the time of purchase, we will correct the difference.
- Platform completely inaccessible: If Msgie experienced a verified, extended outage (greater than 72 consecutive hours) during your paid billing period and you were unable to use the platform at all, you may contact us to discuss a proportional credit.
To report a billing exception, email [email protected] within 14 days of the charge with your account email, transaction ID, and a description of the issue. We will investigate and respond within 5 business days.
6. How to Cancel
You may cancel your Msgie subscription at any time. There are no cancellation fees.
To cancel: Go to Settings → Billing → Cancel Subscription in your Msgie account dashboard and follow the on-screen steps. You will receive a confirmation email once cancellation is processed.
- Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. You will continue to have full access to Msgie until that date.
- You will not be charged again after cancellation.
- Your account data (contacts, templates, message history) is retained for 30 days after the subscription ends, after which it is permanently deleted. You may export your data at any time before deletion.

7. Upgrades & Downgrades
Upgrading your plan: You may upgrade to a higher plan at any time from your account dashboard. The new plan takes effect immediately. The cost difference for the remaining days in your current billing cycle will be charged on a pro-rated basis.
Downgrading your plan: You may downgrade to a lower plan at any time. The downgrade takes effect at the start of your next billing cycle. No refund or credit is issued for the difference in the current period.
Switching billing cycle (monthly ↔ annual): You may switch from monthly to annual billing, or vice versa, at renewal time. Contact [email protected] if you need assistance with a mid-cycle switch.
8. Failed Payments
If a scheduled payment fails (e.g., due to an expired card, insufficient funds, or a bank decline), the following process applies:
- We will send you an email notification immediately when a payment fails.
- We will automatically retry the payment up to 3 times over the following 7 days.
- During this grace period, your account remains active so you can update your payment method without service interruption.
- If payment is not successfully collected after all retry attempts, your account will be suspended. Your data will be retained for 30 days, during which you can reactivate by completing payment.
- If payment is not received within 30 days of suspension, your account and data will be permanently deleted.
To update your payment method, go to Settings → Billing → Payment Method in your account dashboard.

We aim to respond to all billing queries within 2 business days. For exception requests, please include your transaction ID and a clear description of the issue.
If you believe a charge was made in error and we are unable to resolve the matter, you may raise a dispute through your bank or payment provider. However, we ask that you contact us first — most billing issues can be resolved quickly and directly.
This policy is governed by the laws of India. Any disputes arising out of this policy shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts located in [Placeholder City], India.
